Evan Dontje
Programmer, Web Developer/DesignerAbout Me:
Hi, my name is Evan Dontje, and I'm a senior studying Computer Science at Michigan State University. I really enjoy it, and I hope to get a full time job in the industry after I graduate in the spring of 2010. My primary area of interest right now is Software/Web Application Development, but I enjoy exploring new areas of computer science.
Currently, I work for Michigan State University's Math Department, where among other things I develop the Department's website .
I am also currently an intern at TechSmith Corporation, where I work on the Screencast.com website.
If you wish to get in touch, you can email me at evan.dontje@gmail.com or use my contact form.
Recent Projects:
Instructor Resources: Elementary Mathematics for Teachers
Website for the book, Instructor Resources: Elementary Mathematics for Teachers. Contains lecture notes, sample exams, and an exam generator. For this project, I designed and implemented the front end design. I also wrote a majority of the backend code and implemented an additional server that converts the TeX code that the exams are written in, to more common formats like .doc and .pdf. Michigan State University Mathematics Department
Website for the Michigan State Mathematics Department. I'm involved in the daily updates and maintenance for the website, and I also develop web applications when needed.
Recently, I helped redesign the site to be standards compliant. In doing so I learned a lot about web standards, and general design principles. I have also written a web application that automatically generates a homepage for users in the math department. For more information, and to check out my work, visit the site here.
